What¡¯s the OPAC?
OPAC is the online public access catalogue, through which users can search LRC holdings. Our current catalogue system is produced by Beijing Infosea Information Co., Ltd.
The catalogue has both Chinese and English interfaces. It can be searched by title, author, subject, ISBN, call number, and publisher.
What functions does the OPAC offer?
Using the catalogue, you can:
Search for books, journals, CDs and any other materials held in the UIC Learning Resources Centre. Please note that the catalogue only indexes the bibliographic information, such as author, title, abstract, and publisher. It does not contain the full-text of the item, such as book contents, which is different from bibliographic databases.
Check your personal information and loan records.
Reserve an item that you would like to borrow while it is issued to someone else.
Renew the items that you have borrowed.
Print the call number of your search result items.
Make a purchase recommendation. Any students or staff can recommend for the purchase of library resources. We will process your recommendations according to the Collection Development Policy.
Leave your message on the bulletin board.
