Abstract:

Art is no longer what history tells us it is.

Art is no longer what language tells us it is.

Art is no longer what Art tells us it is.

We live in the midst of a reinvention of Art where the language itself (semiotics) does not suffice to describe what Art is, what Art does, and how we define it. The purpose of this presentation is to introduce (or reintroduce) some major names in the world of Art that focuses on forms of expression that will challenge the viewer’s mind, and expand their ideas of what Art is today, and why it is relevant.
