On 30 August 2020, ShanghaiRanking released a ranking that showed the further study rate of the Class of 2019 among Chinese Mainland university students. UIC was ranked sixth in China, while its study abroad (including SARs) rate was ranked the third highest in the nation.

Comparing 1,200 top-flight universities in Chinese Mainland, the ranking showed that the top 200 universities where most students went abroad as well as Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan for further studies. (Read more: 2019 Graduate Destination: Over 75% pursue further studies)

According to a 2020 UIC graduate destination survey which has a 97.8% participation rate as of 31 August, 77.8% of them have been admitted by QS world top 100 universities. The universities they chose included University College London, National University of Singapore, Columbia University, the University of Edinburgh, Johns Hopkins University, Beijing Normal University, Renmin University of China, Central Academy of Fine Arts, and Peking University Shenzhen Graduate School.

UIC students attend a summer programme in the University of Oxford

UIC brings the best academic resources with strong faculty from more than 30 countries and regions. The faculty members who have held a title as Lecturer or above have all studied or worked abroad.

UIC has also established partnerships with over 50 universities from a variety of countries. It broadens the students’ multicultural views by organising academic events, exchange programmes, joint teaching programmes, as well as summer and winter programmes.
